the Girls Have Their Turn?

The O-Shot - Teaneck, NJ

What is the O-Shot®?

The O-Shot® is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can enhance and rejuvenate the Grafenburg spot (G-Spot), clitoris, and labia by using the preparation and injection of blood-derived growth factors (PRP).

How is The O-Shot® Done?

The O-Shot® is an injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), that’s used to improve sexual enjoyment and treat urinary incontinence in women. PRP is extracted from your blood and is used in several medical applications to enhance cell rejuvenation, including the O-Shot®. When Dr. Robert Berberian injects PRP into the vaginal region, it triggers new cell growth and regeneration. This can make the skin and tissue appear and react more “youthfully.” For many women, this can mean improved sexual enjoyment and overcoming urinary incontinence.

Process of O-Shot®

Though the method of preparing the PRP has been approved by the FDA for orthopedic and surgical use, and even though PRP has been used in many clinical settings including the joints, the face, and in fat transplant to the breast, PRP use in the vagina has not been evaluated by the FDA.

Although PRP has not been used in this specific way in the vagina, collagen has been used for many years for injection into the vagina for help with urinary incontinence and for G-spot augmentation. Collagen has more side effects than does PRP (PRP comes from your own body-and is not even classified as a drug).

Some of the benefits women report includes:

  • More frequent, intense orgasms
  • Stronger libido
  • Increased clitoral sensitivity/orgasm
  • Increased lubrication
  • Resolution of urinary incontinence

How does the O-Shot® enhance sexual arousal?

The O-Shot’s new cell production can stimulate improved sexual response, by activating growth factors in the tissue surrounding the clitoris and upper vaginal wall. These two areas are essential to female orgasm and sexual arousal. Once this area is enhanced with PRP, women with low libido, or problems achieving orgasm, can have a dramatic improvement in their sexual pleasure.

How does the O-Shot® help urinary incontinence?

To treat urinary incontinence, the O-Shot® is administered near the opening of the urethra to stimulate new cell growth. That can assist in both controlling urine leakage and fighting the urge to “go.” This can be a blessing to women who’ve suffered the embarrassment and frustration of urinary incontinence, giving them back their freedom and dignity.

Yes, Dr. Robert Berberian performs all in office O-Shot® at the clinic in Paramus, NJ, as it is an outpatient procedure.

Procedure Time for O-Shot®

During the appointment, Vanity Medical Spa assistants will draw some of your blood and put it in a centrifuge to extract the PRP. Once they have your plasma, they will numb the injection area before administering the treatment, so there’s minimal pain during the injections. It’s a quick procedure, and there is no recovery time needed – you should be able to return to normal activities immediately.

How soon after my O-Shot® Can I have Intercourse?

You may resume sexual activity about 4 hours after procedure on the same day. An increase in sexual response can be seen within days of the procedure.

Is There Anything Else That I Will Need to Do After the O-Shot®?

Yes. Using an Apex M or Intensity pelvic floor muscle stimulation device, is vital for achieving optimal success from the procedure. This is usually done twice daily. It requires only a few minutes of your time and without it, success rates are usually lower. We will walk you through it the first time.

What Are the Potential Side Effects of the O-Shot®?

Since PRP is extracted from your own blood, there are few and only minor potential side effects. These include minor bleeding or bruising, swelling, and very rarely infection.
